This Foundation was named after Hermano Miguel, an Ecuadorian Saint who had a great devotion for community service. Furthermore he succeeded in the public domain despite his physical disability. He was also considered as an extraordinary human being.

He has been known as "the man with crooked feet that walked through the straight path".

It is also important to remark that we are neither a political organization nor a religious one.
